The fruity/aqueous grapefruit-bergamot-vetiver combo is dominant the stage and is well complemented by a virile ambery (ambergris plus cardamom i suppose) spark in the general freshly soapy/metallic (in a game of contrasts) and floral (white flowers) atmosphere. I've worn Extreme for about 15yrs and this does not smell like it. The last bottle I purchased was 84.00 at Disney Epcot, only place who carried it in America. Last month an amazing young girl (a really unique creature, unfortunately just a friend of mine :-( and nothing else), escorted me around for perfumed shelves inside a well supplied perfume shop of the downtown full of ordinary brands- Bvlgari for instance and others-but also proponent various Montale, Korloff, Tauer, Villoresi, Malle, Comme des Garcons etc etc; we tested many scents soon inside and along the following hours (and days) due to a lot of samples gained with the courtesy by the attendants inside......and well.....her absolute and uncompromissing favorite juice was and still is the Extreme.

It still possesses the DNA of the original but amps the woodiness and warmth up a couple of notches yet not so much as to be ostentatious. It is a nice, 'safe' fragrance but a safe fragrance can still be interesting and unfortunately, for me, this isn't. That's more like it! I went back to some old Stetson and other things I wore for years. It is alot like Aqua Di Gio but the scent last so much longer! for a good price, yes!
