These strings are not coated, so they do not last as long as coated strings, but they sound wonderfully deep producing that great Gibson sound that I was looking for in the strings and guitar. Anyway, I put a set of these on, and boom... there it was, that spectacular sound that ruthlessly drained my walled at the guitar store years ago.
